A Question

If the USA was hit by a tsunami, how many nations would come to our aid?

I'm just curious what you think, and why you feel that way. One way or the other.

Also, in keeping with the spirit of the UN, and Kofi Anan, I have but one thing to say: KISS MY ASS!!!

UK, thanks to Tony. Maybe... No one really sees us as needy.

We're the rich grandparents of the world who are expected to run to the aid of those who would refuse to follow our success patterns, and resent our attempts to guide them.

When tragedy hits us, we get a sympathy card, while they inwardly smirk.

Kind of ironic since we're actually among the youngest, isn't it?

(This isn't to say that I am not sympathetic. I am, extremely so in fact. But I liken many countries that we aid to children because although they refuse our instruction, they love our money...)

I'm with Key on this one. The UK -- that's it.

If a tsunami hit the US, we'd get NO aid to begin with and then the middle east nations would throw parties in the streets and claim victory for it because THEY were the ones who asked their GOD to send it. JMHO. but we are always the first to rush to everyone elses aid.
Pisses me off really cause I was dead center of Hurricane Ivan, still have a leaking roof, broken windows, no carpet and my privacy fence is down but I haven't seen the first red cent in aid. We should take better care of our own if you ask me, screw them. Sorry
Rant over. :)
